Dial Susan From CallRec.me App On Your iPhone

This is the simplest way for establishing and recording a call. Simply launch the CallRec.me app on your iPhone and type the Susan's number on the Keypad tab and hit the big, red Record button. Alternatively, you can select Susan's phone number from your address book on the Contacts tab.

CallRec.me will dial Susan and record both sides of the conversation in the background.

To be able to use this method for recording phone calls, you need to have active either 3G or WiFi Internet connection on your iPhone - Edge connection simply does not provide sufficient bandwidth for transmitting human voice in real time. If you are in the area with poor 3G/WiFi coverage, you can turn off HD Audio option on the My Account tab in CallRec.me. This will require less network bandwidth, but it could introduce some background noise during the call.

Use Web Dialer To Call Susan Through Access Number

This option involves initiating phone calls from the web browser of your phone, so you will need to have an active data (Internet) connection on your phone, but that connection will be used only for initiating calls - the call itself will not go through VoIP, so the quality of the data connection will not affect the quality of the call.

1. Open the web browser on your phone and navigate to http://callrec.me/dial (you may wish to bookmark it for quick access). You will be presented with a keypad. Use it to enter the Susan's phone number and tap Record button.

2. Your phone will dial one of the CallRec.me access numbers (you can select which one to use by configuring your location on the same webpage). Once your call is answered, our recording servers will automatically forward that call to Susan, while recording the conversation as it proceeds.

Once done, hang up and launch CallRec.me app on your iPhone - you will find the recorded conversation in the list of your recordings.

Use Access Number Manually

This option does not require almost anything from your phone - you don't even need to have CallRec.me installed on your phone (but you do need to have a configured CallRec.me account), and you can use it from any phone - not just iPhone. The process is simple - all you have to do is to make a conference call between you, CallRec.me and Susan. Here is the process in more details:

1. Dial one of our access numbers. DO NOT do this from the CallRec.me application, but from the regular dialer on your phone - simply dial the access number just like you dial any other number from your phone. You can find the list of CallRec.me access numbers at http://CallRec.me/access-number. We recommend you to add one of those access numbers to your address book so you don't have to check that page every time you wish to record a call.

2. (optional) When the call is answered, you may be asked to enter your PIN. This is like the password for your account, and we will ask you to enter it only if we don't recognize your caller ID: if we can associate the number you are calling from with your CallRec.me account, we will not ask you for a PIN. You can always find your PIN in the My Account tab on CallRec.me app on iPhone, or in My Account section of http://CallRec.me website.

3. If you are using iPhone, tap the "add call" button which will appear when the call to access number is answered. Then dial Susan. When she answers, tap the "merge calls" button on your iPhone and you are done - the conference between you, CallRec.me recording servers and Susan is in place, and the call will be recorded.

CallRec.me has access numbers in US, Canada, UK, Europe and other places around the world. We will keep adding more access numbers in different places, and you can always find the accurate list at http://CallRec.me/access-number.

Although we are trying to avoid changing the existing numbers on this list, from technical reasons we are sometimes forced to change an access number for certain country, so you may wish to keep an eye on this page from time to time, and update your address book.
